In order to reduce stressful emotional outbursts, it’s wise to learn that not everything warrants a reaction. The practice of non-reaction can be tricky, but once I learned how to harness my reactions and acknowledge without tying emotion to the acknowledgment, the power of this trick became clear. We have a lot of choices to make every day, and maybe a few of them can be choosing not to react in order to reduce the amount of negativity swirling around in the air.
